Map of the Week, 10/18/13: Your State’s Most Popular TV Show

Via businessinsider.com, and their series of cool maps last July 4th, I came across this map of the most popular TV shows for all 50 states.

Some I had no idea were based in the respective states (“Murder, She Wrote” was in Maine?  Really?) and others are in dire need of an update (Wyoming and Colorado need something far more contemporary than “The Virginian” and “Mork and Mindy”).  Many shows perpetuate positive and negative stereotypes (California :: “Baywatch”; Arkansas :: “19 Kids and Counting”).  Some may go totally against type, but I’m not familiar with all the shows.

At any rate, it’s an interesting view of how Hollywood might look at your neck of the woods.
